2019 Heritage Night Flyer

Heritage Night Update:
Hi, Parents! Brookwood’s annual Heritage Night is coming up this Friday, November 8th, and it the PTO would LOVE your help!
Heritage Night is a very special tradition at Brookwood, and we are thrilled to have FOURTEEN different countries represented this year. Event attendees will receive educational information various places around the world, while enjoying authentic food and exciting performances by Brookwood students and alumni. The PTO needs parents to assist with setting-up and decorating, passing out “Pawsports” to students during the event, and cleaning-up afterward. If you are interested in volunteering just one hour of your time, please click on the Sign-Up Genius link below to take part. As always, PTO Board members will be on-site to guide all of our parents volunteers!

FALL BOOK FAIR: Monday, November 11th ~ Friday, November 15th

 PTO’s Fall Scholastic Book Fair will be the week of Monday, November 11th – Friday, November 15th, and will include a Family Night at the Book Fair on Wednesday, November 13th from 5:00 -7:00 PM.  Please note the Family Night at the Book Fair has been rescheduled to Wednesday evening to align with Family Connect Night.
 
Parents, we are amazed by your willingness to support and the amount of people who have already signed-up to volunteer at the Book Fair throughout the week!  Our Book Fair runs for many hours during the week, and we simply could not make it possible without our amazing parent, and grandparent, volunteers‘ help!!  This year, we will offer 1 and 1.5 hour shift opportunities for which volunteers are able to sign-up as often, or as little, as able!  The link to manage our volunteer sign-up is https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0a49a8ad22a1ff2-parent1  Our theme for this Fall Book Fair is Artic Adventure…

Tent or Treat: Tent Sign-Up

Please don’t forget to sign up for our 1st Tent or Treat!  Bring a pop-up tent, decorate it in a theme you like and pass out candy to our trick-or-treating Bobcats!!!
We are collecting candy and treats to distribute among the tents!  It should be a great, fun Fall day with our Bobcat family!  We can’t wait to see you all there!

Tent or Treat: Candy & Treat Donations

Our first ever “Tent or Treat” event is coming up THIS Sunday, October 18th… and we need YOUR HELP make it a success! ? Please consider sending the following candy and non-food treats in with your student this week!

We are accepting donations, as follows:
– Kindergarten: non-candy items (pencils, stickers, rings, etc.)
– 1st Grade: Lolipops (Dum-Dums, Tootsie Pops, Ring Pops, etc.)
– 2nd Grade: Fruit-flavored candies (Skittles, Starburts, Twizzlers, etc.)
– 3rd Grade: Bite-sized snack foods (Pirate’s Booty, Rice Krispy Treats, Popcorn, Pretzels, etc.)
– 4th Grade: Non-peanut chocolates (M&M’s, Twix, Milky Way, etc.)
– 5th Grade: Sweethearts, Smarties, Tootsie Rolls

Donations can be given to your child’s teacher. Thank you so much for helping to make this FUN event so special for our Bobcats! ??
